BVM’s 5.25 motherboard supports Core 2 Quad processors and dual independent displays

The new LS-572 5.25 form factor motherboard from BVM supports current and 45nm next generation processors of the LGA775 packaged Core 2 Duo and Quad processors with up to 1333 MHz system bus; Pentium dual-core and Celeron processors are also supported. The low power GMA3100 graphics core combines high performance, low power consumption and reduced noise with multi-display support for VGA, LVDS and 2 x DVI. The LS-572 is ideal for use in video-intensive and sound-rich applications such as kiosks, gaming machines, point of sale and point of Information terminals as well as in the rapidly emerging new generations of smart digital entertainment devices such as set top boxes and media centres.

The board supports up to 4 GB of memory, has 2 x Giga Ethernet ports, 4 x SATA 3Gb/s, integrated audio, 8 x USB ports, 5 x RS232, 1 x RS232/422/485 serial ports, an IrDA infrared data interface and a configurable 8-bit GPIO interface. One PCI slot and a mini-PCI connector enable expansion cards to be added. A 256 level reset watchdog timer is provided and the unit is powered from a standard 24-pin ATX PSU with 4-pin 12V CPU supply.
