Two modems provide redundancy in case of connectivity troubles and four built-in antennas help maximise the range of the system. There are two digital scopes that come with the DOT, allowing remote physicians to help perform basic exams. The included battery can power everything for approximately 15 hours.
The software driving the DOT provides secure connectivity to guarantee privacy and it interfaces with many EMR and PACS systems, as well as certain diagnostic devices. swyMED will be showing off the DOT Telemedicine Backpack at the upcoming HIMSS conference next week in Orlando, Florida.
