New from microwave and RF component specialist Link Microtek is a series of four new active x2 frequency multiplier modules that provide output frequency coverage from 6 to 46GHz.
Manufactured by Hittite Microwave Corporation, the HMC-C031, HMC-C032, HMC-C033 and HMC-C034 devices all feature low phase noise and high output power, as well as excellent fundamental and subharmonic suppression for microwave communications, radar, test equipment and general laboratory applications.

The multipliers are fabricated using GaAs pHEMT technology and packaged in miniature hermetic 41.66 x 27.59 x 8.50mm connectorised modules. They are ideal for LO multiplier chains, exhibiting SSB phase noise as low as -140dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset.

When driven with a +3dBm signal, the devices deliver between +13dBm and +17dBm of output power, with Fo and 3Fo isolations from 12 to 30dBc with respect to the output signal level. They incorporate DC blocked I/Os, together with over-voltage and reverse-voltage protection for robust operation.

Datasheets for the Hittite x2 multiplier modules can be found at Link Microtek's website, www.linkmicrotek.com, under the product category 'Frequency Multipliers/Dividers'.
