Acquisition Strengthens Schaffner’s Position In Power Quality Market

Schaffner Ltd, has announced the acquisition of JACKE Transformatoren GmbH by the Swiss based Schaffner Group. This development strengthens Schaffner’s presence in the growing Power Quality market and offers JACKE an immediate international presence.
The integration of the two companies will expand the Schaffner Group's EMC competence to include JACKE's power quality technology. By acquiring JACKE, Schaffner becomes the first global company to offer integrated EMC, Power Quality and energy supply solutions for systems and equipment that meet international quality and performance standards.

Paul Dixon, Managing Director of Schaffner Ltd. comments, “The combination of Schaffner's EMC expertise and JACKE's power quality competence creates a platform for developing innovative products that will enhance not only the operating safety and efficiency of electrical and electronic systems but also their productivity and profitability.”

The global structure of the Schaffner Group, with its international sales organization and production centres in the European, Asia-Pacific and American markets, also makes it possible to offer design engineering and production of EMC and power quality solutions on a worldwide basis from one source. Schaffner will be uniquely able to offer product designs tailored to customer's individual needs with production and supply located close to the customer's manufacturing base.

Schaffner JACKE GmbH has engineering and production capacities in Büren, Germany, and will continue to be led by the existing management team. With its concentration on rail vehicle technology, wind power, navigation, telecommunications and transformer engineering, it will be integrated in the Schaffner Group's international Components Division.
