Access’ rugged barcode imager is designed for easy installation into kiosks and turnstiles

Access IS has introduced a barcode imager designed to fit quickly and easily into public kiosks, visitor turnstiles at events, and retail point-of-sale equipment. The rugged, waterproof construction of the LSR106 makes it suitable for indoor or outdoor use. It reads 2D barcodes on personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones or paper documents and captures data in less than a second. Four threaded brass inserts make it easy to install without additional hardware and it is easily removed when equipment needs servicing. The LSR106 does not need to be shrouded to prevent internal reflections, which simplifies product design, and its impact-resistant glass window is sealed in place to prevent the ingress of dust or other contamination.
