3D printing conference offers platform on science, tech & business

Jakajima has organised the second editions of both the 3D Printing Materials and 3D Bioprinting Conferences in Maastricht, the Netherlands. On 27th (Materials) and 28th (Bioprinting) January, an international, audience consisting of industry professionals, industry stakeholders, end-users, governmental bodies and universities will attend the full day seminar.

The 3D Printing Materials Conference offers the attendee a platform on the crossroads of science, technology & business in 3D printing materials. The programme contains many impressive speakers, including Rachel Gordon, Technology Analyst, IDTechEx, who will deliver a keynote on the subject of ‘Markets, trends and opportunities of 3D printing materials’, and Prof. Dr. Martin van Hecke, Leiden Institute of Physics/AMOLF Amsterdam, speaking about mechanical metamaterials.

The programme of the 3D Bioprinting Conference contains deliveries from Prof. Dr. Michael Gelinsky, Centre for Translational Bone, Joint and Soft Tissue Research Medical Faculty, Dresden University of Technology, speaking about ‘Bioprinting by means of multi-channel 3D plotting’, and Arnold Bos, Consultant at Lux Research Consulting; a company that provides strategic advice and ongoing intelligence for emerging technologies, discussing ‘The makings of a bioprinting market’.

Alongside keynote speakers, many breakout presentations will be held by speakers of innovative start-ups and established companies, in the parallel sessions Polymers & Plastics, Ceramics, Metal and Design & Engineering.

Confirmed speakers and present companies are Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (FH Kärnten), Startupbootcamp Smart Materials, Direct Manufacturing Research Center, Sirris, Lithoz GmbH, Cranfield University, CECIMO, Aachen University, Admatec Europe, DSM, Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Flemish Institute for Technological Research, Fraunhofer ILT, Better Future Factory and Oslo School of Architecture and Design.
