3C Test Ltd will be hosting a 1 Day Seminar on November 13th 2007 on Design and Testing to meet Global Automotive EMC Standards presented by Martin O’Hara - Author of “EMC at Component and PCB Level”
The seminar covers the design and testing of electronic circuits for applications in the automotive environment such as engine management units, telematics,
body controls etc and will appeal to electronic circuit designers, layout engineers,
design managers and test engineers operating in the supply of design services and
electronic products to the automotive vehicle makers and their suppliers.
Also examined is the vehicle EMC environment and how to optimise design choices
of component selection and layout to maximise probability of passing EMC tests.

Specific techniques for high field and ESD immunity required for the vehicle environment
are covered, including the impact on power lines and data busses used in automotive
applications. In addition a look at the plethora of standards that exist in the world,
which are the most difficult to meet, information on manufacturers own standards
and test methods and how certain techniques will help meet these test requirements.
