Whip antenna offers improved range over COTs monopoles
A Southwest Antennas’ monopole whip antenna is now in stock at distributor RFMA with full design support.
The 1000-048 covers military and federal law enforcement bands from 1.81 – 1.85 GHz with 0.8 dBi gain.
Independent tests show ~50% range improvement over untuned, COTS monopoles.
Designed for small form factor handheld, body-worn, or vehicle/robot mounted radio systems, the lightweight, extremely rugged design of this highly flexible whip delivers a low visibility / reflectivity matte finish that is waterproof and fully potted for all-weather operation in harsh conditions.
The 1000-048 features a black chrome, non-rotating SMA(m) RF connector with extended body shroud.
