The new switch is offered in a 16-lead 3mm x 3mm QFN package. In addition, no external blocking capacitors are required if 0V DC is present on the RF ports.
It is designed for use in high power and high performance WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac applications such as carrier and enterprise Wi-Fi products.
Key features of the PE42423 include: Linearity across supply range: IIP3 of 65dBm, IIP2 of 120dBm; Power handling: 38.5 dBm @ 2.4GHz, 37.0dBm @ 6.0GHz; Switching time: 500 ns; Isolation: 47dB @ 2.4GHz, 43dB @ 6.0GHz; Supply range: 2.3V to 5.5V; and +1.8V control logic compatible.
The new switch is manufactured on Peregrine’s UltraCMOS process, a patented variation of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology on a sapphire substrate, offering the performance of GaAs with the economy and integration of conventional CMOS. Peregrine’s HaRP technology enhancements deliver high linearity and excellent harmonics performance.
