Antenna modules provide easy-to-use evaluation platform
The IWR6843ISK intelligent TI mmWave sensor standard antenna plug-in module and IWR6843ISK-ODS intelligent TI mmWave overhead detection sensor (ODS) antenna plug-in module from Texas Instruments (TI) are in stock at Mouser Electronics.
The modules are designed to connect to the MMWAVEICBOOST TI mmWave sensors carrier card to provide an easy-to-use evaluation platform for the IWR6843 TI mmwave sensor in low-power, self-monitored, ultra-accurate radar systems applications.
Both the IWR6843ISK module and IWR6843ISK-ODS module contain a 60-pin, high-density connector for connecting with the MMWAVEICBOOST card, and also feature four-receiver (RX), three-transmitter (TX) antennas.
The TI IWR6843 module incorporates an etched long-range antenna with a 108-degree azimuth field of view (FoV), while the IWR6843ISK-ODS module includes an etched short-range antenna with a 120-degree azimuth FoV and 120-degree elevation with a 12 m range.
The MMWAVEICBOOST board provides an interface for the TI mmWave Studio tool to configure the radar device and capture the raw analog-to-digital converter (ADC) data using a capture board such as DCA1000EVM evaluation module (EVM).
IWR6843ISK, IWR6843ISK-ODS, and MMWAVEICBOOST contain everything required to start developing software for on-chip C67x DSP core and low-power Arm Cortex-R4F controllers. It provides interface to the MSP43xx boards through 40-pin LaunchPad and BoosterPack connectors.
