The NCA-6210 benefits from the Intel Xeon Scalable Processor’s networking-centric value propositions, including Intel QuickAssist Technology, new Intel AVX-512 instructions, IntelHyperscan and Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK).
The integrated 100Gbps Intel QuickAssist technology is a hardware technology that accelerates critical workloads such as data compression and cryptography across server, storage and network applications. In addition, the new Intel AVX-512 instructionssignificantly accelerates performance for workloads and usages such as image and audio/video processing.
Optimised for these high performance processors, the Intel Hyperscan technology accelerates pattern recognition for deep packet inspection. What’s more, up to 4.2x higher virtualised throughput versus a 4 year-old system is possible because each CPU comprises 28 cores; and packet processing efficiency is greatly enhanced with DPDK support, up to 77% faster versus the prior generation.
Finally, the NCA-6210 features up to 8 NIC modules slots and takes advantage of Lanner’s F.A.S.T. solutions, which are purpose-built modular kits developed to work with Lanner’s high-end network computing appliances, delivering flexibility, adaptability, scalability and transformability by way of 1/10/40/100G cooper/fiber interface, PoE/TAP/WiFi connectivity, NVMe SSD storage, 4K video transcoding and PCI-E expansion capabilities.
The NCA-6210’s other notable features include 2x GbE RJ45 or 2x 10G SFP+ management ports, 2x 3.5” or 2x 2.5” external HDD bays, 2x USB 3.0 ports, 1x RJ45 and 1x mini USB consoles, 1x optional PCI-E*16 FH/HL, 1+1 ATX redundant PSUs and 4x individual hot-swappable cooling fans.
