Dog lovers can now add a touch of technology to walkies, following the launch of a new revolutionary dog drone. The Proflight Dog Drone, which can be purchased from drones e-tailer, DronesDirect.co.uk, is a useful tool for walking those pampered pooches.

The dog drone allows for hands-free walking, so owners can text or sit on a park bench, whilst observing man’s best friend on their daily walk.

With built-in collision avoidance and auto-altitude hold, the flying Dog Drone will navigate and track a pooch’s paws. The device includes a retractable lead to ensure fido stays safe and in control whilst stretching their legs.

Simply set the desired walking route via your smartphone and set off on a stroll - the drone will expertly follow your set GPS route and return home on its own.

Dog owners will love using this drone to capture their canine’s unforgettable moments, with a live action camera providing in-flight footage to view four-legged friends in real time. Footage can also be saved and shared with dog loving friends.

Mark Kelly, Marketing Manager, at DronesDirect.co.uk, said: “Following the success of our Cat Drone, we didn’t feel it was fair to forget our canine friends. The launch of the innovative Dog Drone is a great alternative for pet owners who lead busy lives by giving the option of hands-free walking. This handy piece of tech means dogs have a companion by their side whilst getting the exercise and enjoying the fresh outdoor air they so desperately need on a daily basis.

“The DJI Phantom 4 Dog Drone encompasses all the latest technology features with some exclusive added benefits to suit man’s best friend on their walkies. This is a one-of-a-kind canine companion, which we are delighted to offer to all dog lovers. At Drones Direct, we are continually looking to innovate and expand with new additions to the range of drones we can offer.”
