Neousys has released a white paper that covers the increasing need for industrial computing in hazardous environments – and discusses an industrial computer that can withstand the harsh conditions accordingly.

The standard embedded and fanless box PCs have long been the favourites for industrial applications while military/aerospace-grade computers are deployed for extreme industrial applications. However, for extreme industrial deployments, the use of military-grade computers seems like overkill – and yet, they do counter the extreme specification needs.

With edge AI deployments becoming more popular, embedded systems are often deployed in hazardous environments that are exposed to environmental and climatic factors. For extreme industrial deployments, military-grade computers are ideal but the high cost and specification availability to the public remain the main issues that hold back integrators from utilising military-grade computers.

In a white paper, linked below, by Neousys Technology, Neousys explains that there is a computer that meets the ultra-rugged construction to withstand water, dust, connectivity, corrosion (both inside and out), at a fraction of the cost of a military-grade computer?
