Serializer targets ADAS applications

The DS90UB935-Q1 serializer from Texas Instruments (TI) is in stock at Mouser Electronics. The automotive-rated serializer is part of TI’s FPD-Link III family, designed to support high-speed, space-constrained raw data sensors in cameras, satellite radar, LIDAR, and time-of-flight (ToF) applications.

The serializer provides a high-speed forward channel and an ultra-low-latency bidirectional control channel, plus support for power over a single coax or shielded twisted pair (STP) cable.

It is compliant with the MIPI CSI-2 interface for video data, offering a bandwidth over 2.5 Gbits per second.

The device supports autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) through advanced diagnostic and data-protection features, including CRC data protection, sensor data integrity check, I2C write protection, voltage and temperature measurement, programmable alarm, and line fault detection.

The DS90UB935-Q1 serializer features a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 105 degrees Celsius and is available in a compact 5 mm × 5 mm VQFN package.

When combined with a companion deserializer such as the TI DS90UB936-Q1, the DS90UB935-Q1 delivers precise multi-camera sensor clock and sensor synchronization.

The devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications and include HBM ESD Classification Level 3A and CDM ESD Classification Level C6.
