Axiomtek has announced the release of the GOT710-837, its latest fanless panel PC certified with EN50155 for railway applications. The GOT710-837 is equipped with a 10.4" SGVA TFT LCD display with high brightness LED backlight offering a luminance of 1000cd/m2, which can allow a train operator to easily read any operational status messages, even under direct sunlight.

Designed for ease of use and maintenance, this all-in-one industrial touch panel PC also has an alternative keypad control on the front panel for easy access and cleaning purposes. This feature-rich panel PC has an IP65 rating, M12 connectors and is EN50155 certified. The electronics inside the panel PC are well protected from harsh operating conditions and can withstand high vibrations, dust, spillage and high levels of humidity. The GOT710-837 is particularly suitable for demanding HMI applications in the railway sector, including tasks like monitoring and controlling train functions such as speed, temperature, security and fleet management.

Powered by the fanless Intel Atom processor E3845 at 1.91GHz, the GOT710-837 delivers high performance at competitive price. It is designed to be deployed in severe environments with a wide operating temperature range of -25 to +70°C. To meet different application needs, the GOT710-837 has rich communication interfaces, including two COM ports (RS-232/422/485), two USB 2.0 ports, two LANs, one CANbus and two PCI Express Mini Card slots for wireless network connections. For increased storage capacity needs, the GOT710-837 supports 16GB onboard flash and one mSATA port. To ensure the panel PC’s use in a variety of different locations, the railway panel PC supports various mounting selections for panel mount, wall mount, VESA arm and desktop stand. Moreover, it is also ready for Windows 8.1 or 7.

“The GOT710-837 is ideal for use on a train operator’s desk control to display content including video streams from the vehicle’s surveillance system and vehicle diagnostic system messages or even as a means to control certain operations including the train’s door system, windshield wipers, air condition, passenger information system or track level crossings,” said Debbie Tu, Product Manager, Product Marketing Division, Axiomtek. “This panel PC is extremely reliable since it not only features M12-type connectors for use in heavy vibration environments, it also protects system from up to 10ms power drop interruption, EMI EN55022 CLASS A filter for over/short current protection on railway applications.”

Axiomtek’s GOT710-837 will be available in late April.
