Expanding its DIP24 packaged DC/DC converter portfolio, PEAK electronics has announced the P34TG which features a 5:1 ultra-wide input. The specially designed railway modules, which will be presented in Hall 3A, Booth 620 at SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg, 24th to 26th November, are available with input ranges of 13 to 70VDC and 42 to 176VDC.

The P34TG DC/DC converters deliver regulated output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 and 15VDC, as single and dual output. The 8W converters deliver high efficiency ranges up to 86%, depending on the module. The input/output isolation is 3,000VDC. Continuous short circuit protection with automatic recovery is included, along with overvoltage and overcurrent protection.

The DC/DC converter modules come in a 31.8x20.3mm (1.25x0.8") compact DIP24 metal case including remote on/off control pin and operate over a temperature range from -40 to +85°C.
