Expanding the company's line of power shunt resistors, KOA Speer Electronics has introduced the PSI and PSE series to address higher current applications. The 3W (PSI) and 5W (PSE) power ratings enable these resistors to offer a smooth current flow making them suitable for large current detecting.

The resistors operate over a temperature range from -65 to +155°C and are also AEC-Q200 qualified. Applications for PSI and PSE power shunt resistors include electronic controls, EV/HEV battery management, DC/DC converters, oil and gas down hole, inverter controls, and automotive uses in electronic power steering, electric brakes and water/oil pumps.

KOA's power shunt resistors feature a flat rectangular structure for strong mounting and T.C.R. values of ±50 and ±150ppm/°C for effective operation over a wider temperature span and greater stability under load. They deliver dependable performance with a resistance range of 0.5-4mΩ and tolerances of ±1 and ±5%.

Available with with lead-free terminations, the devices meet EU RoHS and China RoHS requirements. Lead times are 12-14 weeks.
