The Souriau 8STA connectors are used throughout all levels of motorsport in applications such as engine control units, communications equipment, data acquisition systems and harnesses. The industry’s smallest circular connector, size 02, is included within the family. Designed to meet military specifications MIL-DTL-38999 and JN1003, the connector is suitable for connecting sensors and other complex electronic systems.
“With immediate effect,” said Peter Costin, “We have added Weald’s nut plates and gaskets for all shell sizes from 02 to 24. Nut plates and gaskets are used by the Motorsport box builders and harness makers to either hold in place the 8STA range of connectors without the chance of very small nuts falling into equipment, or for sealing connectors to carbon/aluminium boxes and so on.”
