The Neousys Technology POC-551VTC is an ultra-compact rugged fanless in-vehicle computer with E-Mark and EN 50155 certifications. With rich I/Os to accommodate wireless communication, sensors and cameras, it is suited for transportation applications such as surround-view monitoring, fleet management, infotainment and in-vehicle applications in challenging environments.

Featuring the AMD Ryzen Embedded V1605B processor, it has 4-cores and 8-threads that can match an Intel 6th Gen. Core i7 U-series while its’ Radeon Vega GPU can deliver up to 3.6 TFLOPS in FP16, a performance previously seen only in large form factor computers. Its’ ultra-compact (64x176x116mm) dimensions and thermal design allow it to fit into confined spaces and operate under harsh vehicle application environments such as shock, vibration and temperatures from -40 to +70°C.

In addition, POC-551VTC offers an abundance of connections with screw-lock mechanisms, it has USB 3.1 Gen1, CAN bus (standard on VTC models), GbE, PoE+, COM ports, and 4CH isolated DI/DO for data communication between different types of devices. Its versatile capabilities make it an ideal computer for deployment on public transportations to offer information, communication and management system capabilities.

With a variety of communication channels, POC-551VTC is perfect for fleet management utilisation. It can estimate bus’ arrival and departure times. It can also report real-time transfer information to ensure better services for passengers. By installing cameras and sensors, POC-551VTC can collect and analyse data such as passenger analytics from various locations, buses or trains for vehicle frequency/ capacity optimisation and adjustments; or monitor vehicle surrounding environment for danger.

Inside the mass transport, it can also act as an in-vehicle infotainment router to provide passengers with a reliable WiFi network in transit. Passengers can have online access to their favorite applications available at their fingertips, such as email check, online calls via social apps and online entertainment during their commute or journey.

Robert Chang, account manager at Neousys Technology, said: “Over the past decade, Neousys has delivered proven ruggedised computer solutions for the in-vehicle computing market. These time-tested products provide a wide range of industry-leading designs that include unique thermal design and ignition control.

“They meet the harsh requirements in the transportation market and have built a trusting and strong foundation of worldwide customers in trucking, emergency vehicles, fleet management, rail, bus, and transit systems.”
