High Q transponder coils for TMPS applications

PREMO has today announced an expansion of its TP0702CAP family of transponder coils. Specially designed for Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems applications, the improved version of the TP0702CAP transponder coils feature higher Q and sensitivity of up to up to 90mV/A/m. Measuring just 8.50 mm x 2.90 mm x 2.70 mm, this gives the best sensitivity in this transponder size.

Customizable upon request with values from 0.34mH-18mH, the TP0702UCAP series is offered in five standard values, 2.38mH, 4.91mH, 7.2mH, 9mH and 18.52mH at a working frequency of 125 kHz.

Operating over a wide temperature range of -40 º C to 125 º C, the TP0702UCAP transponder coils feature a NiZn ferrite core offering high surface resistivity (> 10Mohm/mm) and enabling highly stable behaviour (better than / +/- 3%).

This rugged antenna provides an upper and lateral side protection with co-polyamide polyhexamethylene polymer walls, gamma radiated with high thermal stability and mechanical resistance (exceeds 150Mpa if mechanical strength. Its surface mount allows an easy use in automated process.

The new TP0702UCAP, is particularly suitable for rugged applications such as TPMS which requires an excellent performance under extreme conditions, according to AEC-Q200 and additional requirements as EU regulations. This antenna is also recommended for passive keyless entry systems and immobilizers.
