Two new series of universal input AC/DC power supplies from Polytron Devices for use in medical applications have been introduced by Gresham Power Electronics. The MUI65 dual and triple output and MUI40 single output devices have a market leading low standby power consumption of just 0.15W an 85 to 264Vac, 47 to 63Hz input voltage range and low leakage current under 75µA.

New models have been added to Gresham Power Electronics’ range of encapsulated convection cooled power supplies. Applications for the power supplies include instrumentation, test equipment, medical electronics and equipment operating in harsh environments. The GPL series of encapsulated linear power supplies is now available with output voltages from 5–250VDC at up to 25W and input voltages of 105-125VAC or 220–240VAC.  

A range of Programmable Power Supplies and Electronic DC Loads from Magna-Power has been added to Gresham Power Electronics’ growing power solutions portfolio. The Salisbury based Commercial and Defence power conversion specialist will be a key UK supplier into markets including intelligent power systems, renewable energy development, product test, repair and calibration, industrial systems, educational and research laboratories.

Gresham Power Electronics is now able to offer UK customers a much wider range of power supplies and DC/DC converters from Polytron Devices. Polytron products are suitable for a wide range of application areas including industrial, medical, MIL, railway and transportation. Founded in 1969 by David Metzger, Polytron Devices pioneered the development of linear power supplies and shipped many of the first units available commercially.

The availability of a 3u high, 300W, DC input, compactPCI power supply suitable for railway and trackside applications has been announced by Gresham Power Electronics. Designed to meet the requirements of EN50155 the CPCI-3U-DC-300W RL requires a DC input in the range 66-160VDC and has four outputs; +5VDC at 30A, +3.3V at 40A, +12V at 5A and -12V at 0.5A.

The (M)WLP225 Series is packaged in a low profile 2 x 4 x 1 inch (25 mm) footprint, suitable for rack enclosures and can deliver a market leading 28 watts per cubic inch.

Gresham Power Electronics announces the availability of the LB115 power supply family intended for LED architectural lighting applications. The power supply series delivers 115W in a compact 2x4x1.2” footprint and has a built in EMI filter to meet EN55015 class B requirements for lighting fixtures.

Power supply manufacturer VOX Power has named Gresham Power Electronics as a UK distributor.  Most significant among the VOX Power range is the NEVO+ 600 Series which delivers 600W of output power without the need for derating at line voltages above 120VAC. Through the implementation of a fan control circuit the NEVO+ reduces cooling fan noise in applications with low ambient sound levels.

The first fruit of Gresham Power Electronics distribution agreement with EOS is a range of ultra-miniature, high efficiency power solutions. The EOS WLP120 series of 120W power supplies are packaged in a 2 x 3 x 1.18 (30 mm) inch profile and deliver 16.94 Watts per cubic inch making it says EOS, the world’s smallest 120W power supply.

Gresham Power Electronics has secured a £1.18m order from Korea to supply UPS systems. These systems will then be fitted to four MARS (Military Afloat Reach and Sustainability) tankers being built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME). To be delivered to the UK MoD, each MARS tanker requires a total of eight UPS systems of various power ratings.
