Four-slot case for configurable AC/DC power supplies
The latest four-slot case and a new hold-up module has been announced by Artesyn Embedded Technologies for its second generation MicroMP (µMP) series configurable AC/DC power supplies. Designated µMP09, the new enclosure supports a maximum power output of 550W at 85 to 180VAC and 1,100W and 80 to 263VAC.

With a footprint of just 25.4x12.5mm, this non-isolated unit offers two independent and configurable 25A, 50W outputs, which can also be combined to a single configurable 50A, 100W output.

Intelligent high power system has 12kW case
Artesyn has announced an extension to its iHP series configurable intelligent high power system, with the addition of a 12kW case to the existing 24kW case. The new case provides a lower cost and smaller option for applications needing up to 12kW in 3kW increments and can be configured for up to four outputs using a wide variety of plug-in modules addressing a large range of voltages and currents. The lower power output enables users to configure the iHP system for single-phase or three-phase input.

Artesyn Embedded Technologies has announced the LCM3000 series AC/DC single-output enclosed power supplies, which can supply up to 3000W output power with medical and industrial safety approvals. Designed to be a cost-effective forced-air bulk front end power supply, the LCM3000 series offers configurable nominal outputs of 12, 24, 36, or 48V with output adjustability of plus or minus 25% and maximum current of 250amps.

The ADQ800 series has been announced by Artesyn Embedded Technologies, as a new 800W quarter-brick isolated DC/DC converter with the high efficiency and thermal performance demanded by telecom network and data centre equipment. Capable of delivering up to 70A output current with a single fully regulated 11.8V output, the converters have no minimum load requirement.

USB external power adapter meets energy-efficiency regulations
Artesyn Embedded Technologies has released two families of wall mount external power adapters with USB output connections that meet the latest energy-efficiency regulations, the DA5 series and DA10 series. The DA10 series is one of the first power supplies in the industry to be approved to both 60950-1 and 62368-1 safety standards. This aids users as they plan their transition from prescriptive safety standards to hazard-based safety standards.

Artesyn Embedded Technologies has announced the Centellis Security Edition platform, developed in collaboration with Clavister and based on open hardware, which enables carriers to dramatically lower the cost of developing, deploying and running virtual and cloud-based security gateways when compared with rack mount servers. On a cost/performance basis, carriers can save up to 65% of capital and 67% of operating expenditure by using less servers and combining multiple virtual applications in a single system.
