Axiomtek has announced the NA150, a fanless RISC-based network appliance platform for small office and home office applications. The extreme compact NA150 supports the Marvell Armada 370 processor with a DDR3L onboard memory up to 1GB. Five GigE ports are integrated into this network communication unit, and one PCIe Mini Card slot is available for wireless/3G/LTE network connection.

This fanless network appliance platform is very slim and light that can be easily deployed in any space-limited environment. The Axiomtek NA150 is apparently an excellent choice for VPN, content filtering, network security gateway, firewall and other networking appliance.

“To enhance reliability and performance, the newest SOHO network appliance NA150 supports the Marvell Armada 370 processor which provides new levels of performance, integration, and efficiency, while enabling a simple system design. The fanless RISC-based network appliance supports one Gigabit LAN ports and four Gigabit switch ports, giving 100Mb/s to 1Gb/s throughput. Its fanless, compact design, low power advantage allowing it to be easily implemented anywhere. It is suited for a wide range of applications, including SmartHub for Home, NAS devices, media servers, and wireless access points, as well as networking and education applications,” said Joyce Wu, Product Manager, Axiomtek.

In order to address the various network application needs, the Axiomtek desktop RISC-based network processing appliance NA150 features two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 port (RJ-45 type), and one PCIe Mini Card slot. For easy maintenance and user-friendly operation, there are front-facing LED indicators on the panel for power and HDD activity monitoring.
