Family businesses enter into a large-scale partnership
The HARTING Technology Group in Espelkamp and BERNSTEIN in Porta Westfalica share similarities: both family businesses are world market leaders in their industry (industrial connectors and industrial safety technology), are run by their families’ third-generation and have been located in the Minden- Lübbecke district for more than seven decades. Now, the two SMEs have entered into a larger-scale partnership for the first time.
HARTING subsidiary HARTING Applied Technologies has manufactured a production system used to produce BERNSTEIN safety switches that has now been handed over to the BERNSTEIN production site in Hille-Hartum. HARTING Applied Technologies developed a tailor-made solution for BERNSTEIN.
The system assembles the new BERNSTEIN C14 switch generation in different variants fully automatically. The assembly plant consists of individual modular cells, which offer a high degree of flexibility and also allow certain processes to be interposed or connected downstream.
