New durable and flexible 5-wire resistive touch screens introduced in Europe

The Bergquist Company announced it is launching its 5-wire resistive touch screens onto the European market, following last year’s successful introduction of these products to the American market. These touch screens are available in a wide range of sizes and aspect ratios; a variety of shielding options can be applied to them, such as EMI, RFI and ESD.

The Bergquist solution combines the durability of 5-Wire resistive technology with flexible offerings to meet the specific requirements of a wide range of applications. Options include a large range of sizes from 3,5 inch to 23 inch, slim perimeters, off aspect ratio sizes, chemical strengthened glass and other alternatives, as well as a variety of top film and a large selection of connectors.

The design and conception of touch screens of various dimensions and configurations, which were previously precluded by technology or technique, is set to become much easier as touch screen dimensions are no longer determined by standard sizes. By offering some of the slimmest perimeters in the industry, the 5-Wire touch screen design from Bergquist readily fits any application and takes up less space. This allows developers to convert easily from 4- and 8-Wire into 5-Wire, whether it is a new design or retrofit.

A comprehensive kit to help designers evaluate the features and benefits of the Bergquist 5-Wire touch system products can be requested online at www.bergquistcompany.com. This kit includes a 5-Wire Touch Screen, a 5-Wire Controller Board, Software & Device Drivers, an RS-232 Connector Cable, a USB Connector Cable, 5-Wire Touch Screen Connector Cable, Jumper Extension Cable, Power Supply (RS-232 use only) and relevant instructions.
