As the only semiconductor company sponsoring the event, TI will donate hundreds of hours of employee volunteer time and will provide support for the official Decathlon photographer. In addition, TI will host a sustainability workshop for consumers, as well as a breakfast for competing students.
The Solar Decathlon will run October 12 – 20, and team houses will be open for public tours during specified hours. On October 17 at 1:00 p.m., TI’s Sustainable Development Manager, Paul Westbrook, will present a workshop in the Main Tent that will focus on sustainability at home and in the office.
The event takes place on the National Mall in Washington D.C.
