Keyboard from Aerco is designed for children and those with special needs

A new keyboard specifically designed to help young children and people with special needs, including dyslexia, become familiar and practiced in the use of computer keyboards is now available from Aerco at www.cherrykeyboardsrus.co.uk. The Startaboard is the same size as a conventional keyboard but the keys are ten times larger making them much easier for children to see, feel, touch and press.

The qwerty layout has all lettering in lower case and the imaginative colour coding of purple, green, red, yellow and blue identifying the vowels, consonants, numbers, punctuation and function keys makes them much easier to recognise and assimilate.

This wired keyboard, which will prove of great value to children, slow learners, people with special needs and teachers alike, works straight out of the box and is available with a Combo PS/2 USB interface version and is compatible with all the WindowsTM operating systems including VistaTM.

The ‘Cherry Keyboards ‘R’ Us’ website is run jointly between Cherry and Aerco, the Horsham based electronics component distributor. A wide range of keyboards is held in stock or can be supplied on a three or four day lead time at highly competitive prices.
