The APC-3228 employs Intel’s Core 2 Duo or Quad CPU and the GM45 + 9M-E chipset with up to 4GB of system RAM. A CompactFlash slot can be used to store Windows XP or any other x86-compatible operating system and there is also a bay for a 2.5-inch SATA hard disk drive.
Application interfaces comprise four USB 2.0 ports, three RS232 serial ports, two gigabit Ethernet ports, CRT, DVI-D & HDMI outputs and of course, the ubiquitous audio line output. But unlike similar products, the APC-3228 is expandable via an internal Mini PCI slot and additionally via an externally accessible PCI 2.3 slot.
The APC-3228 has an operating temperature of 0 to 50 deg. C, requires 115-230V AC power and weighs just 14.8 KG.
