M8 sensor and automation connectors have 12 contacts

The scope of sensor and automation applications for binder’s M8 connectors has been greatly increased now that a 12-contact version has been introduced. According to binder, industry sectors including factory automation, process control, industrial networking, robotics and machine tools will benefit from this latest version. The Series 768-718 UL approved screw coupling M8 connectors give installers a high degree of flexibility as they are quick and simple to install, reduce downtime and therefore allow labour cost savings.

binder’s M8 connectors provide protection from liquids, dirt and dust while the screw locking mechanism is resistant to vibration thus ensuring a robust connection.

These are moulded male and female cable connectors and panel mount connectors which binder can supply terminated with PUR cable or single wires. As a result, binder can configure these M8 connectors to meet a specific requirement which allows the company to satisfy a wide variety of complex customer applications. The new male and female, straight M8 screw connectors have brass, gold plated contacts and come with standard cable lengths of 2m or 5m or single wires in standard lengths of 200mm. binder will supply different lengths on request.

Series 768-718 M8 connectors are protected to IP67 when mated, have a current rating of 1A, and a rated voltage of 30V. They are available as shielded or non-shielded versions.
