The device’s transmit chain features +30dBm output and the receive chain features a low noise amplifier (LNA) with a 1.3dB noise figure. The module delivers 30.5dBm Pout at 400 to 500 MHz to enable more than four times the range versus standalone system-on-chip (SoC) solutions and covers multiple unlicensed bands.
It also has a fast switch on/off (less than four usec in receive mode and less than two usec in transmit mode) that provides rapid timing and multi-protocol arbitration. The module also has a high efficiency power amplifier for longer battery life and comes in a small footprint with MCM (28-pin 6.0×6.0mm) surface mount technology packaging.
