Stackpole’s HCJ Series, a surface mount chip jumper, offers current ratings ranging from 14.2amps for the 0402 up to 63.2amps for the HCJ2512. In comparison, the typical rated current for a standard 2512 thick film jumper is 3amps. The HCJ0402 has a maximum resistance of 3mΩ while the other sizes have a maximum resistance of 0.5mΩ. This ensures much lower power dissipation for the HCJ compared to similar jumpers with typical resistance of up to 50mΩ. In addition, the HCJ is AEC-Q200 compliant.
