Platform designed for CUDA-based signal processing and AI analysis

Manufacturer of integrated systems, embedded boards, enabling software and application-ready platforms, VadaTech has announced the VT988. The VT988 is a TI ADC08B3000 based 16-channel data acquisition platform capable of synchronous sampling 8-bit ADCs at up to 3 GSPS. All input data channels pass through a Virtex-7 485T FPGA which is user programmable for filtering/DDC.

Data can be output through dual front-panel 10GbE or processed by the on-board JetsonTX2 module, which is suitable for CUDA-based signal processing or AI analysis. The VT988 also has a Layer 2 Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch which provides quad GbE through RJ-45 interface to the front panel and allows interconnection among the subsystems.

The NVIDIA Jetson TX2 features an integrated 256-core NVIDIA Pascal GPU @ 1300MHz, a hex-core ARMv8 64-bit CPU complex, and 8GB of LPDDR4 memory with a 128-bit interface. The CPU complex combines a dual-core NVIDIA Denver 2 alongside a quad-core ARM Cortex-A57. Front-panel USB and HDMI are available for user interface, making the VT988 suitable as a base platform for comprehensive signal monitoring systems.

The VT988 is AC powered for convenience, 1U height and 10” (255mm) deep, and can be used as a desktop appliance or 19” rack-mount. VadaTech also offers extended temperature and conformal coating options for harsh environments.
