SPIDER switch offers exclusive functionalities

SPIDER has been pioneered by TechwaY as the first real-time switch dedicated to ARINC 818 video protocol. The latest version of SPIDER offers new functionalities for improved and enhanced performances.

SPIDER, the world’s first ARINC 818 video switch, provides two upgrades: a higher rate management and a multi-rate function.

Built on the FPGA technology associated with optical interfaces with very high density, SPIDER manages two rates in one box.

Mono-rate version of SPIDER provides ten incoming optical links to ten outbound optical links, compatible with the ARINC 818 protocols up to 4.25Gbps.

Multi-rate version, with virtual separation, divides the switch into two configurations 4×4 and 6×6 with a different rate for each configuration.

SPIDER ensures that video frames remain intact and void of corruption during switching.

SPIDER is compatible with ARINC818-2 standard.

The control and monitoring interface is carried through an embedded webserver or SNMP command.

The new version of SPIDER benefits from all the advantages of previous versions:

  • Switching in real-time
  • Easy-to-use interface
  • Link rates of 4.25Gb/s
  • Configuration available : 10×10 (mono rate), 4×4 and 6×6 or 2×2 and 8×8 (dual rate)
  • Rugged switch available
