Field connectors offer flexible installation for sensors

Supplier of rugged and harsh environment connectors, Chogori has developed a series of field installable M12 connectors that allow the customisation of cable type and length. This flexibility eases on-site installations, saving time and costs in applications including proximity switches, safety switches and other miniature I/O devices and sensors.

Available in straight and right angle versions, the field installable M12 connectors are designed to meet the IEC 61076-2-101 standard. To ensure connectivity in rugged and high-vibration environments, the IP67/IP68-rated male and female connectors are offered with coupling nuts in brass or stainless steel.

“The field installable M12 connectors streamline the installation process, making cable customisation easy to meet the demanding needs of applications like specialty sensors in semiconductor assembly equipment and robotic end-of-arm tooling,” said Kelvin Ng, Sales Director.

Pin configuration and termination varies from three, four, five and eight pins with screw-in termination, and 12 pins with solder termination. Chogori’s offering includes metal and plastic unshielded connectors for cables with OD ranging from 4-7.5mm. The connectors are also available with A, B and D code options.

The M12 Series connectors have a rated voltage up to 250V, a current rating up to 4A, and an operating temperature of -25 to 85°C.

Chogori will be showcasing the M12 Series and many other connector technologies at SPS in Nuremberg, Germany from 22nd to 24th November 2016. Chogori’s booth is located at hall 10, stand 600.
