They screw directly onto receptacles and are available in two types of material: composite for PT/451 connectors and aluminium for the 38999 range.
A large choice of plating finishes – including nickel, black zinc nickel, and cadmium – is available to provide increased protection against corrosion, impacts, and vibrations. In addition, the metal cap for the 38999 range is protected to IP67.
- Standard metal caps
The standard versions with cordset are compatible with all 38999, PT/451, RJ, and USB Field cylindrical connectors. The caps are available in aluminium, stainless steel, and bronze with a wide range of plating finishes, cordsets, and lanyards to meet every possible need, application, and environment (IP68).
- Silicone caps
Amphenol Socapex’s silicone caps with nylon cordset withstand temperatures up to 200°C and are compatible with the aforementioned connectors. They are a cost-effective alternative and are IP67 rated for harsh environments where damage from dust and moisture is possible.
