Data I/O Corporation has just announced the LumenX programming platform integrated into its PSV5000 automated programming system. The LumenX programming platform is said to be a breakthrough in programming technology optimized for the latest generation of eMMC, SD, and SPI NOR Flash devices.

The LumenX programmer combined with the PSV5000 automated programming system delivers a cost-effective automated programming solution with ultra-fast managed and secured programming for the lowest total cost per part. The LumenX programming platform is available in the PSV7000 and PSV5000 automated system and manual configurations.

The LumenX programming platform delivers ultra-fast performance with programming speeds up to 80 MBytes/second and download speeds of 25 MBytes/second and offers industry leading management and security capabilities, while eliminating the security risks associated with the duplication process. The LumenX Data Management Software Suite ensures data integrity from job creation through production.  A comprehensive suite of Traceability Software Applications along with fiber laser marking meets the demanding quality requirements.

Designed to maximize socket capacity and reduce the cost of programming, the LumenX programmer supports 8 sockets per programmer with up to 5 LumenX programmers in the PSV5000 for the highest programming density available in a small capacity system.  The combination of ultra-fast read/write and download speeds, high socket capacity and fast throughput allows manufacturers using one PSV5000 with LumenX technology to program what previously required multiple systems to produce.

The PSV5000 handler is rated for delivering up to 1300 parts per hour.  The PSV5000 with LumenX supports eMMC, SD and SPI NOR Flash devices with tape, tray and tube configurations with up to 5 programmers (40 individual sockets) in a compact footprint.
