By converting energy at a typical 94% efficiency, the DDP400 module generates less heat facilitating thermal management in space constrained environments, resulting in very high reliability.
Delivering a steady 400W of regulated DC power through the full 90 to 264V AC input range, the compact DDP400 module is 20% smaller than competing 300W modules enabling designers to integrate it into 1U applications.
Besides its small form factor (83.05” x 211.84” x 41.91mm), the sealed IP67 rated package ensures protection against dust and water immersion up to 1m for up to 30 minutes, and can be installed in contact with thermo-conductive part of the system so to transfer heat by conduction, therefore, enhancing performances.
The DDP series is available in four standard output voltages: 12, 24, 36, 48V DC, offering an auxiliary 12V DC and a stand-by 5V DC outputs.
When conduction cooled, or convection cooled with its optional heat sink assembly, the module can deliver full output power from -20 to 50°C. It can operate up to 70°C with de-rating and -30°C. Protection features include fuse on each AC lines, input under-voltage lockout, output over-current, output short-circuit, output over-voltage and over-temperature.
The MDP400, a sister product of the DDP400 is aimed at medical lighting and power applications with full compliance with UL/IEC safety standards for medical equipment.
The DDP400 is also available in four other compact packages to fit other design applications: open frame, u-chassis, chassis with top fan and chassis with front fan.
