The design leverages the company’s experience in military, aerospace and defence. For budget-driven programs, the series offers a wide input voltage range for nominal 28V input, an average 85% efficiency and low input and output ripple for reliable operational success, even in rugged environments.
Designed to operate at full-load over a wide temperature range of -40 to +100°C, the converters offer fixed frequency operation, soft-start, magnetic feedback, inhibit and current-limit protection. They also include companion EMI filters ranging from 1.0 to 20A.
Power levels are 5.0 (VHR5-2800S/D), 15 (VHR15-2800S/D), 30 (VHR30-2800S/D and VHR30-2800T) and 100W (VHR100+2800S/D) with single or dual outputs and an additional option of triple output for the 30W VHR30-2800S/D – VHR30-2800T model.
