AC/DC converters deliver power punch in compact package

UK Power Conversion distributor PowerPax has launched the Mornsun LHxx-13Bxx, 5 – 25W range of AC/DC Converters which accept an AC input range of 85 – 305VAC (47-63Hz) and a DC Input range of 100 – 430V DC with six models featuring outputs from 3.3V to 24V DC. This series offers a high power density in a compact package with industry standard footprints and efficiency of up to 87% with standby power consumption of 0.3 watts maximum.

Outputs require no minimum load and are well regulated with line regulation of ±0.5% and load regulation (10 – 100% load) of ±1%.

Output voltage accuracy is typically ±2% and output ripple & noise (20MHz bandwidth) is typically 50mV peak to peak.

All outputs feature continuous (self-recovering) short circuit protection, over current protection (self-recovering) and over voltage protection (shutdown).

Modules with output powers of 20W & 25W have an output trim capability of ± 10%.

This series meets UL60950, EN60950 and IEC60950 with input to output isolation of 3000V AC (1 minute) minimum.

They offer good EMC performance (IEC/EN61000-4 & CISPR22/EN55022) and high reliability, 300K hours (MIL-HDBK-217F@25°C).

The modules are housed in a black flame-retardant and heat resistant plastic case that is UL94-V0 rated.

These modules feature an operating temperature range of -40℃ to +70℃, free air convection cooling (de-rating 2%/°C -25 to 0°C and 2%/°C +55 to 70°C).

In addition to the PCB mount models there are also variants with mountings enabling the modules to be chassis or DIN Rail mount.

This module series is suitable for a wide range of applications including electricity monitoring systems, LED control systems, instrumentation, telecommunications and civil applications.
