There is no need for charging, it has a minimum sensitivity of approximately 0.5mW/cm2 at 1,064nm in a darkened room. The damage threshold for short term exposure is around 20W/cm2 at 1,064nm.
In addition Laser has also introduced the IR sensor cards for visualisation of laser radiation in the wavelength range from 1.5µm to 20µm – well suited for use with Hol:YAG, Er:YAG and CO2 lasers. Available in high power options for up to 50W/cm2 and 120W/cm2 respectively. There is also the option for a screen with two active areas, a high power and a low power for up to 8W/cm2.
