During the light measurement of the luminaire, its later operation orientation should thus be taken into account.
Gigahertz-Optik GmbH’s integrating sphere ISD-100-HFT has a diameter of one metre and enables the conduction of light measurement quantities including luminous flux, spectrum, and colour. The sphere can be opened and it offers the possibility to mount luminaires with different socket types. Their ideal positioning is possible using the sphere’s height adjustable sample holder. The optional quadrupole test socket enables the precise sensing of the luminaire’s electrical operating parameters. The integrating sphere can be easily rotated around its horizontal axis and locked in position. This offers a simple way to qualify the luminaires properties in different operation orientations.
The BiTec light sensor spectroradiometers from Gigahertz-Optik are suited for use with the integrating sphere. Their design omits the usage of light guides and their disadvantages.
