Aerospace applications such as aircraft landing gear, ordnance applications including projectile sensing and gun turret position control, and marine and offshore equipment applications such as hatch and door position in submarines will be targeted. High-performance industrial equipment is another suitable application area.
The sensors boast compact housings and available in a number of housing materials and either leadwire or connector termination styles. They meet demanding temperature, vibration, shock and EMI/EMP interference requirements.
Operating on the ECKO principle, which detects metal objects passing in front of the sensing face, once a target metal is detected, the Honeywell proximity sensor produces a trigger signal which is then passed through the output conditioning circuitry to give a high or low output, depending on the sensor application.
