VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -96dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset

Operating over the frequency range of 1650 to 2410MHz within 2 to 14V of tuning, the V614ME28-LF VCO has been released by Z-Communications. The device features a spectrally clean signal of -96dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset, while operating from a 12VDC supply and drawing 20mA of current.

The V614ME28-LF is designed to deliver +5.5dBm of output power into a 50Ω load and covers the frequency band with an average tuning gain of 85MHz/V. Operating across a -40 to +85ºC temperature range, the VCO features a typical second harmonic suppression of -15dBc. The device is offered in the company’s standard MINI-16-L package and is available in tape and reel packaging.

The high performance V614ME28-LF is well suited for Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) equipment that requires low phase noise performance.
