The largest component of the HydroSink is the heat exchanger, which includes a smaller fan than other market solutions, thus reducing size. According to Aavid, the estimated life-span of the HydroSink exceeds 50,000 hours, thanks to the control board’s ability to reduce the fan and pump’s usage, improving reliability by reducing stress to components at required performance levels.
HydroSink’s thermal performance is also enhanced, with the control board accurately modifying fan and pump speed in order to adapt to operating conditions. The HydroSink control board allows the thermal performance to be modified according to “boundary conditions” at any given moment, and strategically manages the system’s components and sensor signals, ensuring the consistent monitoring of the system’s performance.
