Waterproof SSDs to be exhibited at embedded world

At embedded world 2015, which takes place from 24th to 26th February in Nuremburg, Germany, Apacer Technology will exhibit its industrial DRAM solutions, SSDs and data security technologies. As reliable data storage against power failure is of primary importance for industrial applications, the company launched the CorePower technology to ensure data integrity by enabling SSD to immediately restore buffered data at the moment of power cut-off. Thus, data can be retrieved and the system will not be penalised even with a sudden power failure.

To achieve secure data storage, Apacer takes it a step further with UrKey Technology, a strengthened protection management. SSDs featuring this technology use a dual-connector USB dongle to activate or deactivate three major security functions: write protect, erase and destroy.

Another highlight is company’s live demo, which will present an SSD with a nano coating that allows it to run while immersed in water. Apacer also offers IP57 certified waterproof SSDs featuring protection against moisture, dust and corrosion, making them suitable for use in harsh environments.

Further, visitors will be able to experience the company’s SSDWidget, claimed to be the world’s first real-time SSD monitor APP. Assisted by cloud computing, this mobile/tablet APP can acquire real-time data and actively report ‘health’ alerts, preventing damages.

Apacer will also present its Combo SDIMM, which combines both DRAM and SSD in a memory module, and a 5mm thick industrial SSD with a capacity of up to 256GB.

The company will be located in hall 1, stand 503.
