Nano power modules reduce board size by up to 40%

Designed for 100mA-2A industrial designs used within servers, factory automation, test and measurement, and network security cameras, 17 and 5V nano power modules have been introduced by Texas Instruments. The 17V SIMPLE SWITCHER modules are offered in 650mA (LMZ21700) and 1A (LMZ21701), while the 5V modules are offered in 1A and (LMZ20501) 2A (LMZ20502).

According to the company, the DC/DC power modules reduce board size by up to 40%. The SIMPLE SWITCHER modules combine high efficiency with high density and reduce EMI, even while operating at low power. With the modules, designers can add more features and functionality to their systems in a smaller form factor, while speeding time-to-market.
