Demonstrations will showcase the performance and flexibility of Altera SoCs, which are based on a world-class architecture that provide features including IP security, error correction and encryption.
The company will also demonstrate:
- An implementation of an integrated PLC and HMI system on a board featuring a Cyclone V SoC, combining embedded software, graphics libraries, powerful application-class processors and programmable silicon. It can accommodate all the custom backplane, industrial interface and peripheral requirements for automation systems and custom factory automation controllers;
- Several industry standard encryption algorithms running on a low-cost Cyclone V SoC;
- How FPGA-based vision processing solutions can deliver higher performance and lower power consumption for industrial and automotive applications. Leveraging Altera’s Video IP product for rapid deployment, this shows how Altera based solutions can deliver high productivity as well as power efficient accelerated video processing; and
- Using a non-volatile MAX 10 FPGA to drive a three phase DC motor with a single chip.
Chris Balough, Senior Director of Marketing, SoC Products, Altera, will be on hand to discuss the value that Altera’s SoCs deliver to embedded systems.
