The AP22800 is simple to programme: start-up and discharge rates can be set using an external capacitor and external resistor, respectively. An open-drain ‘power good’ output flag is also provided to signal that the target output voltage has been achieved.
Designed to operate from 1.5 to 5V, the load switch has the flexibility to support 1.8, 2.5, 3.3 and 5V system rails. The device’s 21µA quiescent current makes it suited for cell-backed distributed power systems, where power conservation is vital.
The load switch is provided in a thermally efficient, low profile DFN2116-8 package, which features a footprint of only 3.36mm2 and helps increase power density.
