Edge-to-Cloud communication for physical AI systems

At booth 4.421, RTI will focus on intelligent connectivity for software-defined systems.

RTI Connext enables companies to simplify, scale and optimise the development of physical AI applications. Based on the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard, Connext supports architectures ranging from microsystems to widely distributed applications running over long distances. It integrates and distributes data across heterogeneous systems using a publish-subscribe pattern, creating a common communication backbone for a data-centric architecture. Connext gets the data to the right place at the right time, every time. It ensures cross-platform deployment and communication across platforms, accelerates development and minimises project risk. At the booth, RTI will demonstrate examples of intelligent real-time connectivity using the installed RTI Connectivity Hub. In addition, an Edge AI-to-cloud demo will show the power of Connext in a distributed system consisting of many embedded platforms.

At the EWC (embedded world congress) RTI has two speaking sessions:

  • ‘Applying TSN and DDS to Software-Defined Vehicles and Other Real-Time Edge Applications (March 11, Session 1.12)
  • ‘Integrating Edge and Cloud: Technical Comparison and Performance Benchmarking of DDS, OPC UA, MQTT, and Kafka’ (March 11, Session 1.2)
