Analog Devices 3-axis digital accelerometer

The ADXL314 is a new 3-axis digital accelerometer designed for high-performance acceleration measurement in a range of up to ±200g.

With 13-bit resolution and a 16-bit twos complement data format, the ADXL314 delivers accurate and reliable data through a range of interfaces, including SPI and I2C digital interfaces.

It has a useful memory management system that includes a 32-level FIFO buffer to store data and reduce the workload on the host processor. This results in lower power consumption for the system and allows for motion-based power management with threshold sensing and active acceleration measurement at low power levels.

The ADXL314 is ideal for a range of applications, including tire and battery pack monitoring and high-force event detection. It’s small size and low power consumption, typically 65μA for VS = 2.5V at a 100Hz output data rate (ODR), make it a popular choice for industrial and automotive applications.

The ADXL314 is supplied in a small, thin 5x5x1.45mm, 32-lead LFCSP, making it easy to integrate into existing systems.

Analog Devices 3-axis Digital Accelerometer is now available from stock at Farnell in EMEA, Newark in North America and element14 in APAC.
